Your friendly support guy here. Here is a list of the four most common issues that new bloggers to the BlogBurst system encounter and tips for resolving those problems. Answers after the break
- My blog will not verify
- My invitation code does not work
- I forgot my password
- I receive errors when I try to add/update my profile
My blog will not verify - If you encounter this, chances are that your blog uses frames and cannot be automatically verified. Choose the Add BlogBurst image to your home page option on the verify page and add the BlogBurst Button to your blog somewhere. When the button is present on your blog, send a note to BlogBurst-Editorial@pluck.com and someone from editorial will look your blog over. If they can see the button, you will be verified.
My invitation code doesn’t work - Once in a while an invite code will not work for a blogger. If this happens, please send a note to BlogBurst-Editorial@pluck.com and request another invite. We will delete your previous invitation and send another.
I forgot my password - Return to the BlogBurst Login Page and click on the Forgotten Password link. Your new password will be sent to you at the email address for your BlogBurst account.
I receive errors when I try to set up my profile - At this time we cannot accept HTML code in any of the information fields for a blogger or their blog profiles (description, about me, etc). Plain text only please.

I’ve tried changing my Byline when editing my blog profile, but it won’t save my changes. I want my first and last name in that field, but it defaults back to my blog name after I save.
Other changes I make are being saved — like changes to the keywords/tags — but no matter what I do, my Byline stays as my blog name.
Help?
Hi Lori, I took a look at your blog in BlogBurst and it seems that maybe you found a way to make this work because your byline on the Blog Profile page now shows your first and last name rather than the name of the blog. We’ll take a look and see if maybe the change was accepted, but did not display the changed content correctly.
Now I’m having Lori’s initial problem. Initially my byline was fine, but now my blog’s name is listed as the byline…
Any thoughts?
Why has my activity stopped on the 29th even though my profile shows stories pretty much daily through today?
I looked at your numbers mulligan. They were very low impressions which tells me that your posts was picked up one of the examples widgets we show on http://www.blogburst.com rather than on a publisher’s web site. Hang in there, we are workign to get more and more blogs plugged into publisher sites. Also working on reporting that shows you where your blog showed up. More information on this next week!
