Verifying your blog

In our continuing effort to keep you informed of the “how” and “what” of BlogBurst, we will frequently post tips or send you back to the important tips and information you need to know. Check out our post “Verify your blog” created on February 17, 2006, and learn more about ID and passwords and BlogBurst badges.

One other thing to note that was not covered in the previous post concerns network members whose blogs contain frames. First the bad news, if your blog contains frames, you will not be able to verify a BlogBurst badge the normal way. The good news, however, is that you can contact our editorial team for guidance, OR try method #3 from our “Verify your blog” post from February.

I could not still verify my blog. It does not simply take my user name and password provided by Know More Media to me. What I should do?

You should have two other options you can use to verify your blog: Either grab the java script for the BlogBurst badge and put it in your sidebar or drop the invisible javascript into a post or some other visible spot on your home page. Come back to BlogBurst and hit the verify button once that is done. The system will then check your feed and/or site and look for the BlogBurst reference and ID in the javascript badge or invisible script and should verify you at that time. If you have further questions, pls send them in an email to Blogburst-Support@pluck.com and we can look at the problem further.
