My main concern is that you can't guarantee every page of your website will be included in the SERPs. Considering I'm constantly adding new products to my company's website, I need to be sure that customers can find them as soon as possible.http://www.seoptimizerz.com

I found a page containing this article by searching on Google News, you can read it here with no password.

I thought the writer put it rather well, that BlogBurst could serve as a blog "newswire" for papers. If BlogBurst signed up a wide enough range of bloggers, it would give papers an unlimited menu of niche content and could make their newspaper Web sites much more sticky.

And of course it could give bloggers a ton more exposure. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Nice work! I think Burstblog is a great concept, and it's even better that it's by invite, rather than just adding any blog to the network will mean that it keeps its reputation in the eyes of the publishers.

Just keeping my fingers cross a publisher enjoys my ramblings and rants :D

This venture is a win-win proposition for all involved. It is hard to see how this can fail. There is real and amazing talent out here in the blogging community and by being able to skim the best of it off and provide it to readers one is offering a very valuable product.

Kudos to you guys for coming up with this idea that will no doubt benefit so many.

Last month the same author wrote a column entitled Don't confuse blogging with real journalism, to which one might write an article in reply called "Not all writing in the newspaper is journalism." Many media can deliver journalism well, which is why the readership of the newspapers leveled off in the 1970s and has been in freefall since 1990 (source). The interesting story is not whether triumphalist bloggers are correct about the future of the journalistic pecking order. It's the story about how good writers used technology to get their words out, and in doing so dropped a meteorite into the stagnant pond of traditional publishing. There will always be a need for facts and good analysis thereof. Whether the print media will adapt or die remains an open question.

That's an interesting article. You can definitely sense that professional journalists are concerned about the unedited nature of blogosphere in general. However, they are cautiously embracing the craze because they know that many of their most devoted readers -- the true news junkies -- blog themselves. They don't want to offend their most loyal followers...
