Shiny - New and Improved BlogBurst

…and, we’re back! BlogBurst made improvements over the weekend that give bloggers more insight into which publishers have picked up their blog. Please, check out Reports in the BlogBurst workbench to see the top ten publishers that are syndicating your blog. Our future improvements to Reports include giving you access to more detail on where your blog is syndicated and how it is being presented.

If you are not seeing any activity yet, please know that both our team and the publishers are working hard on introducing more blogs and more topics to more publishers. Since launching BlogBurst in May, we have made significant headway in adding more publisher partners and opening up the topic stream. But, the process typically takes care and time, so please be patient while we continue to promote your blogs.

As always, we encourage and welcome your feedback and ideas on how to make BlogBurst even better for our bloggers.

Keep up the good work! I know it’s tempting to become impatient but anything worthwhile takes time to build.

Even though I haven’t seen any activity yet on the BlogBurst “My Activity” and “Posts and Publishers” tabs (zip, nada), I’m seeing significant increases in the number of subscribers and number of hits on my blog, all attributable to BlogBurst. Considering that the blog is on a specialized topic that doesn’t fit any of your major categories, I think that’s a great success for only being out there one full day. And considering that for the first several hours of that day, my feed was garbling all my posts, I’m doubly impressed. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the up grade. I knew one site where my blog appeared, but the other two were news to me. And one of those sites has higher numbers than the one I knew . . . Is there anyway for you to include links back to the sites that feature folks’ blogs? I was able to find them all, but not my content . . .

Harvest - We are working on the capability to give you a link back to your headline & postview on the publisher’s site. The nature of the system (and the blogosphere) is that things are really dynamic so headlines & posts flow in and out of a publisher’s site throughout the day. However, we want to give you a sense of a permalink to look at your content on the publisher’s site, show off to your friends, etc.

    Thanks,

Even if there wasn’t a permalink - just a link back to thier home page would be cool. I am getting the most views from a site called BBQ Report - and I don’t think I have ever actually found their home page. (thought I did, but now I think I was mistaken.) On the other hand I check the gardening blogs on the Austin Statesmen regularly, I have figured out how the widget seems to be working, and I use that info to regulate how often I am posting to my blog . . .
