We are really excited to tell you our great news! I mean….really, really excited because this is a great time to be a blogger! In a strategic alliance with Reuters, one of the largest providers of syndicated news worldwide, BlogBurst is going bigger! Reuters itself is syndicating BlogBurst network blogs to various sections of its site (Technology, Health, Entertainment)…but the best part (drumroll, please…) - this alliance means that Reuters will bring BlogBurst to its 3,000 media customers and web sites around the world. For more information on Pluck’s relationship with Reuters, please read the press release.
The potential for greater exposure and greater use of BlogBurst blogs is enormous. This is why we are really, really, really excited. On Reuters alone, we are now recording roughly one million headline impressions a day - and in plain English…that means on average, one million eyes have looked at our BlogBurst blog headlines on any given day. Post views of blog posts have more than doubled since Reuters started syndicating.
Reuters has invested in Pluck as part of our strategic initiatives together, which means that they will be around for some time to come.
Awesome! Congrats to Pluck. Congrats to us. How long before we migrate into print…?
Before checking my Burst Blog for the day and seeing this announcement post ,I was on the Reuters Health section page and as I finished the article I saw below about ten blogs listed under the BlogBurst banner.
Great accomplishment to make this affiliation.
It’s going to take a little while for the relationship to come to fruition in terms of Reuters syndicating BlogBurst blogs to their customers, but the possibilities are thrilling to say the least.
It is really really good news to bloggers. It will defintely broaded the the scop of blogging.
Will this extend to sites in the business/financial blogosphere? I clicked on the Reuters and Investing tabs and did not see any BlogBurst links. This would be a huge plus and broaden the exposure of financial blogs.
Fantastic News, and it took about 24 hours to have an impact!
We have already seen the traffic coming in from Rueters in our analytics.
Great news. Stuff to write home about. Exciting. A landslide of pleasure and approval. We are lifting off. Certainly. A boost to our retrojets. We’re breaking down barriers.
Just in time for the holidays. I wrote Santa about this very same thing.
Let’s celebrate the good news. Pass the chestnut dressing.
Wow! This is great.
Any word on when/if Reuters might pick up political blogs as part of its package?
I know political blogs make up a large portion of the Blogsphere and politics makes up a lot of what Reuters covers, so it seems like a natural fit!
And medical blogs! Especially medical blogs written by suffering overworked medical students in universities populated entirely by nerds wearing glasses as thick as their textbooks.
And, uhm, by doctors too. Yeah. And nurses. Heh.
The blogosphere’s gotten a lot bigger, and I love the new concept.
This is great news. I feel happy as a new member to join a service that is being able to expand like this. Now, I do have a suggestion to align BlogBurst content more closely with Reuters: to have regional or country categories. If we allow regional categories we can have feeds for Asia, Europe, Latin America, etc. This can be much easier for the Reuters customers, many of them in the mainstream media to pick up BlogBurst stories.
My blog is and among other topics is focused on Latin America issues.
Regards.
